Pluma® is a 7.5 kg lightweight LPG cylinder for domestic use. It comprises a pressed steel plate liner less than 1 mm thick, coated with layers of Twintex®, a continuous fibre composite, finished with a gel coat shield layer, giving it high strength and excellent safety performance. The plastic skin and full-jacket is composed of four separate parts – body, base and two identical handles – in injection moulding High Density Polyethylene. Pluma’s innovation arises from the combination of its components: the metal liner to optimise the butane gas vaporisation, the Twintex® fibres for mechanical strength, the plastic skin for functionality, ergonomics, sustainability, and its name (Pluma® is a Latin word for bird’s feather) for brand value and identity. The Pluma® is manufactured to standard N12245.
