The new MAN double-decker low-floor city bus for the Berlin Transport Authority BVG represents a new double-decker generation from NEOMAN. Designed with disabled people in mind, the bus meets daily operating conditions in Berlin as well as passenger demands for urban transit. The layout of the driver cockpit, passenger section and drive train allows the best use of the vehicle’s height and length. The interior design of the driver cockpit and the passenger section, with standing, pram and wheelchair zones, is user-friendly and offers a maximum of space despite the restricted height of the bus. The low-maintenance components can be serviced quickly or rapidly dismantled and reassembled. The air-conditioning system for the double-decker city buses is unique. The low-consumption, low-emission diesel drive system spells an environmental advance as well.
